Scindapsus Pictus 'Jade Satin' is a rare houseplant that is hard-to-find and slow to grow. It has large, leathery leaves that are dark green with a matte finish. New leaves are bright green and slowly darken as the leaf matures. When grown in bright light, the mature leaves are nearly black. This plant looks lovely as a trailing plant, but will grow larger leaves, and more quickly, if allowed to climb on a trellis or plant hanger.
Bright indirect sunlight, water when the soil is mostly dry. Acclimate slowly to bright light, and watch for sunburn on leaves that receive direct sunlight. Scindapsus plants grow quicker when root-bound, and do not like their roots to be disturbed. A plant that is trying to acclimate to a new pot or a new home may have curled leaves for a few weeks; higher humidity will help this plant acclimate to your home quicker.
