Aeschynanthus Radicans is more commonly called 'Curly Lipstick Vine' for its unique tubular red flowers that bloom in clusters at the end of vines in the summer and fall. New growth comes in bright green before fading to dark green, and mature growth grown in bright sunlight will develop a reddish tint. The leaves on this variety are distinctive because mature leaves curl tightly around the long vines, giving this plant a very structural appearance.
In nature, Lipstick Vines are epiphytic and grow in the nooks of trees, but you can emulate this by letting the plant get rootbound in a smaller pot.
Water when pot has mostly dried out. This plant is very tolerant of underwatering, but do not let this plant stand in water as it can lead to root-rot.
